The prostrate grand is a very important organ in the human reproduction system. This grand is found exclusively on the male reproductive system, it is located under the bladder in front of the rectum. This ground is responsible for the production of the milky fluid of acid and enzymes, which form part of the semen that keeps the sperm cells alive. The muscles that surround the prostrate, contrasts involuntarily during coitus (sexual intercourse) to ejaculate the fluid bearing the sperm cells produced in the testicles.
Cancer is a disease where some cells grow out of control, there by invading and destroying other healthy and normal cells. The cancer that affects the prostrate only is known as the prostrate cancer. In the earlier stage, the symptoms of prostrate cancer are not obvious, but when the disease becomes more advance, It has the following symptoms:
1- The patient will not be able to urinate as usual.
2- Painful or burning urination.
3- Erection of the penis will be poor or totally absence.
4- Blood in the semen or urine.
5- Pain or stiffness in the lower back hips.
Some other infections like enlarged prostate may posses some if not all of these symptoms mentioned above. So it is advisable to consult you doctor for diagnosis whenever you notice any of these symptoms. Prostate enlargement as we earlier mentioned is not a prostrate cancer.
Finally, prostrate enlargement is a non cancerous disease of the prostrate grand that cannot degenerate into prostrate cancer. It is called benign prostate hyperplasis or .B.P.H.B.P.H in medical term. Though, it is possible for an individual to test positive to the two ailments at a time. In the absence of prostrate cancer, enlarged prostate may cause problems such as difficulty or pains during urination. The most effective way of taking care of prostrate cancer is to detect it earlier before it degenerates. A simple blood test and physical examinations can do well in determining the extent the disease has developed. Go for medical checkup at least on quarterly basis.
